Antony started fitting people to bikes at Cycles Bertrand, a custom frame builder in Gatineau, Quebec, in the mid-eighties, an era in which the shop was deemed Bicycling Magazine’s best bike shop in North America, and one of the first shops of the world to adopt the Fit Kit, the world’s first scientific tool for bike fitting. He developed a comprehensive understanding of bicycle frame geometry and design principles, and a deep knowledge of component and equipment selection
His passion for bicycles and speed led him to pursue an education in engineering. He holds a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Waterloo, a Master's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Ottawa, and has taken numerous advanced courses in ergonomics (the fitting of humans to machines), aerodynamics, and lightweight materials and structures. He is a registered professional engineer in the province of Ontario, Canada.
Antony actively races in local endurance sport events as an age grouper. He is a member of the Lantau Buffalos Multisport Club and the CCN-Foil Wheels Cycling Team.
He was the first fitter in Hong Kong to use digital motion capture and modern tri-bike fitting techniques, is one of only a few fitters in Asia certified by both the Fit Institute Slowtwitch (F.I.S.T.) and Retul, and is proud to have fitted over 60 qualifiers to UCI World's, Ironman Kona, and 70.3 World Championships (including himself!) over the past ten years.
