Mark’s dedication to the sport of cycling and meeting the service needs of all cyclists stems from his passion for all things bicycle related. Mark has been riding, racing and wrenching on bicycles for most of his life, rebuilding his first bike a young teenager before scraping together enough cash at 16 to buy a new road bike. His road racing career started in 1979 when 10 speeds meant 10 speeds! This adventure lasted a few short years; with medals earned at provincial and national championships. After a 12 year cycling hiatus, Mark was asked to ride the bike portion at a few team triathlon events. He discovered that the passion ran as deep as ever (and that opening a store was the best way to get good gear and keep his bike tuned!) and T.I. Cycle was born in 1995. Mark also rediscovered road-racing, making the rounds of regional and provincial road and cycle cross races for over ten more years.
While Mark now cycles primarily for pleasure and to maintain fitness, he continues to be active in the local cycling community and considers his primary goal to be that of helping others enjoy the sport. Mark is committed to pursuing excellence in bicycle fitting, repair and services and is always looking forward to working with the great people he meets along this cycling adventure.
